Article about the exhibit:

Prints from Photogenic Drawing Negatives:

"The 1835 technology we used to make the camera negatives was combined with digital positive inversions. Our concept was that digital technology made it possible to exhibit these fugitive images for the first time; a strong irony since digital imaging will make the photographic negative obsolete.

"Enlarging from small paper negatives softened the effect of an already minimal photographic record and brought forward the physical properties of the paper fibers reminding the viewer of the materiality of original source."
