Collodion Chloride Printing-Out Paper Class Online

Back by popular demand, we will be teaching how to make collodion chloride emulsion, coat baryta stock and contact print the sensitive paper in a live, online class.
After conducting primary research in 2001 we taught the first public workshops and published the first modern instructions and formulas.
Collodio-chloride was the earliest photographic “emulsion“ but didn’t become popular until the 1880s. It was used until the 1920s for commercial studio printing papers. You’ll find it’s the easiest alternative process and can be used for contact printing from film or plate negatives. It is also the most archival silver printing process ever invented and the collodion binder can be dyed different colors to tint the highlights.
